France is one of the most visited countries in the world. The number of foreigners going on holiday and living in France cannot be overlooked.
The French health system has to take in to account these patients, in which a certain number speak little or no French at all.
English is the language the most used in the world, there is alas a necessity to speak a little of this language to be able to communicate with non French speaking patients.
It is even more important for pharmacists who have an obligation to give advice to all patients, no matter where they come from.
Unfortunately, there are little references concerning advice giving in pharmacies in multiple languages.
This dissertation is a practical reference for pharmacists working in public pharmacies, having a need of a clear translation of the
most essential advice given for illnesses and treatments mostly seen on prescriptions.
Keywords : medication, patient, English speaking, pharmacist, prescription, NHS, United Kingdom, care, dispensing.
